It’s that time of the year again. The time that gardeners look forward to all winter long, when lawns are no longer covered with feet of snow, and the front lawn grass can again be see. This is the time when Gardeners take out their lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and comedically large noise reducing ear muffs, and get to work on local lawns.

While sitting at gate 22, waiting to board his flight to Miami, Florida, Jim had no idea what was in store for him. As his name was called over the loudspeaker, he thought he’d done something wrong. But this 18 year old boy was simply waiting to board the airplane to meet up with his Dad in Miami for a weekend of fun. But as Jim approached the front desk, everything was about to change.

It’s something that most people don’t think about. The recession has affected the entire country. The rich must spend more modestly, and limit themselves to one private jet per household. The middle class must stop giving their kids presents for both the holidays and their birthdays. But what most people don’t realize, is that the poor have been affected by the recession as well.
