It started with a public announcement made by Syracuse University, and has now spread to over 4 campuses in the nation. These colleges are going to reform their programs and offer new classes during Fall 2012. These classes are not going to be as boring as trade school, as useless as normal college classes, or as difficult as many required courses. The classes will simply be practical.
It has long been known that, while some of the material learned in college is important, students believe other classes are waists of their time. To be successful in life, film majors don’t need to take biology, Pre-med students don’t need to take accounting, and business majors don’t to take… any classes.
